Appy New Year!
WOW, WE’VE HAD A GREAT YEAR!
It was just about a year ago we started our little app business. We had no idea what we were getting into, but we’ve had a lot of fun along the way. 20 apps and 200,000 downloads later, we are a little wiser, a little more tech saavy and a little jitter-ier thanks to the mass amount of coffee consumed over the last year!. A huge THANK YOU goes out to the graphic artists, coders, musicians, voice talent, designers and tech support folks from all over the world that helped us get our “babies” launched.
Here’s wishing you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010!
Cheers!
Jen, Jesse and Cara

I’m Still Amazed…
what…17 years later? My first real exposure to the WorldWideWeb or the Information Super Highway (yes, youngin’s, that’s what it was called in its early daze), was when I was working for the L.A. outpost of NW Ayer – back when there were a bunch of individual agencies – not the six or eight behemoths that exist today. Anyway, back in 1992, we had a P&G client – you know the one – Mom is a hero because she gives her kids that neon orange potion that masquerades as orange juice. Well, P&G thought there might be something to this WWW thing after all. Maybe there is a future where millions of people can express themselves simultaneously in real-time and information can just flow. No one knew what it would eventually become, but we all thought we were so cool just to utter those three W’s. We ended up developing a silly game for our P&G client and launching their first website. It was all so simple back then. Which brings me to today – sitting by the pool at a posh resort, downloading sales reports, tweeting about new iphone apps, catching up with old friends via Facebook, my son playing his favorite apps, writing this blog, taking a call or two – all from a device smaller than a well-worn paperback. I know I’ve said it many times before, but I am still amazed by all of this! Cara

Stay iTuned! It Only Gets Better!
Who would of thought in less than a year our iPhone apps would have generated over 200,000 downloads (208,283 as of today!) from all corners of the world! Kuwait, Hong Kong, Turkey, Columbia, Qatar, Portugal, Korea, China, Japan – virtually everywhere on the planet! Jesse, Jen and I are so happily surprised at the success of our little company. Rest assured, we are not just sitting back enjoying the spoils of our labors. We have about 20 apps currently on the iTunes store and we have five new ones in development – Stay iTuned!!!!!
Also, many thanks to all of our partners who helped us make it happen, so far!!

Are Ads on a Blog OK?
Just wondering, because we just started adding some ads on the site. But only of really cool products that we really like and would use. But, does that bum out our readers ( whoever you are?) or do you like to see cool shops or are you just plain annoyed?
Would really love to hear your thoughts ( user generated content anyone?)

To All The Moms Who Never Make It Happen!
Yes, I am talking to you! You know who you are. The one who thinks of a brilliant idea, tells all her friends, makes a few calls and then goes and gets her nails done. Idea gone forever! Well, stop procrastinating, ladies, and make your dreams come true!
It’s really not so hard. As Woody Allen says, “80% of success is just showing up!” So, come on ladies, time to stop showing off and time to start showing up!

MyGirlz Have Some Legs!

So, we’re pretty psyched about our gals next adventure into the land of music. This app is going to be a lot of fun and wer’e having a really great time making it. Just wondering how complicated our fans will want the music portion to be. We are always debating about that. Sometime when the functions are too hard, it can be frustarting, but then the kids are way more tech-savvy than we can ever hope to be.
Anyhoo, the proof will be in the pudding,as they say. (Boy, does this line date me, or what?)
